I'd love a collection of Christmas movie Themes and Suites, the likes of which Silva used to do back in the day. Debney's ELF theme could do with a nice extended concert version and it would be cool to feature some unreleased gems amongst the holiday classic themes (HOME ALONE, EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, POLAR EXPRESS, IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE etc). Anyone know why one's never been produced, or did I miss it?

There was also one from I think Telarc many years ago which contained suites from It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street (the original), and the Alastair Sim version of A Christmas Carol.

Sony did one... That looks even better than the suggestion; not just the films' themes, but the specifically Christmassy tracks themselves. Good looking selection there.

Yeah, as Thor says, that Telarc is great but more like 3 scores chunked together. I do love it though. The Sony Japan does look decent, but is just original album cues shuffled together. My wish was more of a Silva/Tadlow style compilation with expanded, newly arranged and performed Suites and Themes and including some premiere titles amongst the established classics. And on CD. I'm surprised we didn't get one back in the day, when they would do compilation CDs on just about any topic, genre or movie star.

Those CDs are alright, but there are a lot of good Christmas scores not represented. As the (official) maximum length of an audio CD is 74 (~80) minutes, that's inevitable.
