Good point on the Ennio duffers over the Jerzy duffers, numbers wise, Bill. Although around here, 90% of the FSMulation will have suffered through the JGs, while less than 10% will even be aware of the EM stinkers. Goldsmith always seemed to offset one quality or well received film with 3 whoppers that stunk out the place. Although something like Damnation Alley is unlucky, in that it was TCF's BIG Sci-Fi tent pole for 1977 until that other little space film opened around the same time, stuff like The Swarm and Players and Inchon and Rent A Cop and those Euro thrillers I mentioned above... I guess he just loved money.

I think with Jerry he saw the chance to do something he thought was musically interesting. Big Latin requiem, Latin American, a fandango( or whatever Caboblanco is). He liked doin' stuff.

Many-many Morricone scores for Italian or French movies from the 70s-80s or even 90s. Elaborate. Examples. The Humanoid (drops mike) Bloodline lol You mean, Bloodline is not a good film? Another one, not so great film The Island (or how to turn a child into a robot-like murdering beast) with Michael Caine. I still like to see examples of bad French films scored by Ennio. I don't think there are any. But I haven't seen all of 'em.

Krull is a good shout. I'm amazed Goldsmith didn't bag that one. He must have taken the week off.

Offer me any of Vincent Price's early 1960s pictures as a substitute for Tim Burton's ... please. You're on to something, Mr. Zardoz.
