Goodness me. Djokovic won his 10th Australian Open. He's tied with Rafa at 22 grand slams total. He'll pass him, so I'm guessing 25 or so titles. But it's Djoker so maybe more. He's like a wall. Anyway, maybe Nadal has one more in him at the French. That would give him 15 at Rolland which would be insane. Been a long road, but to see Feds with 20, and the others over that. I'm thinking I won't see it again in singles in my lifetime. Maybe on the ladies side something crazy can happen.....
What a limp effort by Alcaraz. Straight set loss to an unknown. That would leave it open to Skinner or Djokovic.
Also watched the Muchova/Osaka match. The latter has won two US and two AO's. This one though Muchova in straight sets. My recommendation is if you are a pro, don't quit. Although Osaka did recently have a child, the reasons before that were not. It's so hard getting back into it, and it isn't going to be the same with the arrival of new talent. I remember McEnroe doing that, and I've wondered if he could have won more titles.....
'Teddy Bears For Celebrities' is a cause based on buying a US Open ticket, but putting a stuffed animal in their seat. That way I don't have to look at them, except when I wanna watch a movie or a sporting event. I saw Musk in attendance, and a certain politician in the background that will remain nameless. So that didn't do me any favors.
It was this one Bill. And poor old Ron got really annoyed with people (i.e. me) posting photos of Maria. I remember he emailed me at the time that he wasn't too happy. I still miss him here..
