THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE---Guy Ritchie World War II movie based on the book about the Special Operation Executive (SOE) in which the synopsis says, “UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s and Ian Fleming’s secret WWII combat organization. The clandestine squad’s unconventional and ‘ungentlemanly’ fighting techniques against the Nazis helped change the course of the war and gave birth to the modern Black Ops unit.” The cast includes Henry Cavill, Eiza Gonzalez, Cary Elwes, Henry Golding, Alex Pettyfer, Alan Ritchson and Til Schweiger. Jerry Bruckheimer is the producer.
THE TERMINAL LIST---Amazon Prime renewed the series for Season 2 and is developing a prequel series starring Taylor Kitsch which focuses on how SEAL Ben Edwards became a CIA operative.
FRASIER---Paramount+ posted a teaser image from the Kelsey Grammer revival series.
HERE---the Robert Zemeckis movie based on the graphic novel focusing on people over many years will use AI de-ageing special effects to de-age the cast of Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Paul Bettany and Kelly Reilly. The technology is described as,“high-resolution photorealistic face swaps and de-aging effects on top of actors’ performances live and in real-time without the need for further compositing or VFX work.”
THE BLACKLIST---NBC announced that the upcoming Season 10 will be the last season.
PENNYWORTH---HBO Max cancelled the series.
POWER BOOK: GHOST---Starz renewed the series for Season 4.
THE CLEANING LADY---Fox renewed the series for Season 2.
TRIVIA---Groundhog Day trivia.
GROUNDHOG DAY was originally going to be filmed in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, but because it did not have the suitable filming locations and amenities for the cast and crew, Woodstock, Illinois was chosen. Punxsutawney, unhappy over being rejected for the movie, refused to allow the real Punxsutawney Phil to be used in the movie. A groundhog was then caught in the Illinois woods, named Scooter, and played Punxsutawney Phil in the movie.
