Always and still love the LP Cover of ICE STATION ZEBRA. The FSM Release used the same.

3 strong looking men standing behind Rock Hudson and ready to save the world.

Thanks to those expanded versions of an expanded version we don't have this one on cd. But the main reason is the fact that this is not a Goldsmith score...

This is one of the greatest LP covers ever - with the United Artists 1970's reissue of Herrmann's 7th Voyage of Sinbad running a close second
<
This is one area where LP's are definitely superior!

its done by the same artist.

today the covers are not only small but many photos look like a photocopy of a photocopy. Just take a look a the recent TWO MULES FOR SISTER SARA.

The cover of "One Eyed Jacks" with a rather grim looking Marlon Brando, no doubt thirsting for revenge after Karl Malden betrayed him and broke his right hand after whipping him.

There's so many.

From the bond films, Diamonds are Forever and Moonraker .
I purchased Airport 75 because of the cover art.
Swashbuckler.

Many others....

It's not really artwork though, is it? It looks like a council road marker had some white paint left.big grin

The Missouri Breaks has some nice rustic artwork. This is the CD cover which had some minor variations from the original LP cover. Both had the sketch of Brando and Nicholson..

For sheer originality and uniqueness of design, nothing will ever beat this...

Plus it had this cool pic of Bernstein on the back...
