Did anyone else notice the JW tune tucked into the score for last week's episode of The Mandalorian? Walking around the streets of Coruscant, in what looked like a nighttime carnival, there was music in the air, almost a kind of festive calliope. The tune is a direct quote from one of the themes in The Force Awakens. (Forgive me, but I always get mixed up between Scherzo for X-Wings and March of the Resistance.)
It was March of the Resistance, and I definitely noticed it. This becomes the second Williams theme (after the Imperial March) to make the transition from scoring to source.
I noticed it too but it was quite distracting because all I was trying to do was figure out the tune instead of listening to the dialogue. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Snoke's music heard underneath the scene where Dr. Pershing is at Elia Kane's apartment? There's definitely some guttural throat singing in during that conversation.
