The artwork is definitely channelling GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY.

I saw the film during a preview last week. It may not be a great film but it's just so much fun with the cast just having a blast. And finally a Lorne Balfe score that I wanted to get right from the first notes. I was quite surprised seeing his name in the credits. While it was obvious that it came from someone in the Zimmer universe I rather suspected Henry Jackman or Harry Gregson-Williams because with the exception of some minor action cues this is really good.

Who knows who wrote it? I can't believe Balfe is writing all this stuff.

So what you're saying is there's "no honour among thieves"?

I saw the movie today and really liked it! I did not know Balfe wrote the score until I saw his name in the end credits, but I loved it from the first minute! Here's hoping for a cd release! big grin

Interesting - with this and His Dark Materials Series 3, it appears that Brandon Campbell has migrated from Ramin's team over to Lorne's

Don Williams ... musician: percussion

Love seeing the name Williams! I assume he's younger than brother Johnny? I couldn't find his age, but I think I've seen it before. Oddly, his IMDB lpage only lists one relative: John's son Joseph!

Yes, Don is related to John and has remained an active part of most every LA scoring session for decades, including John's! I remember talking to him once at a in-person event pre-pandemic.

So, music by Lorne Balfe, Peter G. Adams, Brandon Campbell, Adam Price and Stuart Michael Thomas, with additional arrangements by Kevin Riepl.

Does anybody remember when "Music by Jerry Goldsmith" used to mean "Music by Jerry Goldsmith"?

Yes, considerably so. He's 75, 16 years younger than his older brother, and born shortly after the family relocated to Los Angeles in 1948.

I'll be checking out the score -- Balfe is so busy these days, it reminds me of Desplat during his most active period.

Depends how it's attached to an EDM taiko drum.

    Yes, back in 1957?
