They probably produce four variants because they hope there are fanatics out there who will go and buy more than one, or maybe even all four.

The "Special Thanks" credit lists four names and then... "etc".
Nothing very special about being thanked as being an "etc".

This is actually true, some collectors snap up all variants, and the labels know this.
Eh, life's too short...

While not my favorite score in the series, I think it’s nice that it’s being released (even if it’s exclusively on vinyl).

But but…. “It’s all about ‘the music’”. (There’s not a big enough “eye roll” icon available for this)

I never thought we'd hit an era where the idea of releasing a score on CD would seem more "retro" than releasing one on vinyl.

…On vinyl, in multiple editions.
This trend seems to works in pop music. God knows why, but there are lots of crazy pop fanatics who buy multiple versions of the same album, just because the vinyl has another color or the cover is different. It’s the “collect them all” principle that’s being exploited. Die hard Taylor Swift fans would give up their own foot to own every version of a mediocre album. For “Bride of Chucky”, I don’t see the point either… Such strange times.

Words don't even begin to describe how ridiculous this is...

I think it's cool. This type of film is perfect for a physical collector's item like this. I'm sure fans of the series or horror fans will love it. I'm also generally 'pro' these lavish vinyl releases, even if can't afford them or even have my turntable installed.

As for the score....well, I don't really know. I'm a big Revell fan, but not a fan of horror music in general. Hopefully, some samples will be made available.

On Facebook, a member of the "INTRADA Soundtrack Club" group named Jerry Hart shared the news there writing, "Hopefully a CD will follow."

Mike Matessino, producer of this new album, replied: "Why, so 657 people will buy it? That's about how many purchased our Child's Play 2 CD release."

Just thought I'd share that here for those who think releasing this on CD is a no-brainer.

Anyone want to increase the sales of La-La Land's CD release of Child's Play 2 (limited to 3000 copies!) can do so here:

I do hope this new Matessino-produced program makes its way to digital download, eventually, at least.

I would have thought that "Child's Play 2" would sell extremely well at horror conventions. Maybe at some point Intrada and the like can appear on a horror podcast to promote such titles. I just wonder if it didn't reach all of the possible markets.

Unfortunately, CDs just don't sell like they used to.

LLL has made more convention appearances over the years, and apparently that didn't matter enough.

That's insane to me! I literally shrieked when I found it was available and bought it within minutes. It's even more thrilling that it's available for streaming, too. I'd love to have Bride available on CD, and I just bought my own copy of the vinyl.

Child's Play 2 isn't a Golden Age score is it? I thought it was Golden Age scores that sell poorly because (we are often told) Golden Age buyers are dying off in droves.
So what is the excuse for a Chucky score selling badly? Has Chucky been killing off buyers of the current generation?

Yavar, you seem to have mixed up Mike Matessino with MV Gerhard. MV made the comment in that Facebook group, not Matessino.
