With Nicholas Cage. I finally hunted down a copy and watched it.

Well, it was ok. I did enjoy it though it wasn't what l expected. It wasn't an over the top sendup of valley girls like in Frank Zappa's song. The hair and clothes reminded me of when l was in university. The fact that it was actually made in 1982 or 83 means the fashions are totally authentic for that era.

What's interesting is that Alicia Silverstone and her friends in Clueless (1995) seem less realistic than the girls in the 1983 movie.

Onto the soundtrack: there were songs here and there but l don't think there was any incidental background music or cues! So a lot of it seemed "quiet" like a TV show.

Highlights include: people at a party dancing to "Electric Avenue ; "Eyes of a Stranger" by the Payolas can be heard a few times.
