My wife and watch Meet Me in St. Louis once a year, so we have seen it many, many times. We usually watch it during the Christmas season, but last year we went to an outdoor showing during the summer on Art Hill in Forest Park, where the 1904 World's Fair took place. The hillside rises above the Grand Basin and is in front of the statue of St. Louis and the Art Museum, which is one of the few permanent buildings from the fair. We've also seen a theatrical production at the outdoor Muny Opera, also in Forest Park. I'm not generally a fan of musicals but this film has such great characters, writing, sets, and a comforting nostalgia.
