Caine, who was a veteran of the Korean War, was a technical adviser on the movie. Also in the movie was Stanley Baker, who played Cpl. Ryker. Eight years later, Caine and Baker reunited for another war movie, ZULU, in which British 150 troops are under attack by 4,000 Zulu warriors. Caine played Lt. Gronville Bromhead and Baker played Lt. John Chard. ZULU launched Caine's career and made him a star.

I will say the Banana Splits movie sounds amazing.
It probably isn't, but the concept of it being spun as a horror film made me laugh. The damned original show is kind of nightmare fuel...
Well we've had murderous Santa, President Lincoln hunt vampires, Hansel and Gretel hunt witches and Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey so I guess anything is fair game.
