Are there others here wxperiencing this? Same in the Netherlands. Regulations changed a few years ago here in the E.U. That's why I started ordering at Music Box instead of the labels directly.

Yes, it has become outrageously expensive to order something from the US into the EU, much, much more than it was years ago. Same with the UK since Brexit (obviously). That's why I always consider Music Box Records as well to order Intrada/La-La Land/etc. releases.

I prefer Soundtrackcorner or Intermezzomedia to Music Box because shipping is cheaper at them. Yup, I use Soundtrackcorner for any Music Box release, they're very good. Maybe I'm misremembering or am confusing it with a different site but I though I read quiet some negative feedback about Chris' Soundtrack Corner around here. That's why I never bothered ordering there. Shipping is indeed cheaper than Music Box but certain titles seem to be more expensive, so I guess it also kinda depends what you order. But I'll definitely remember it for my next order.

Can conform for The Netherlands. last La-La batch had two double-cds and one single cd. And I had to pay € 7,46 clearance.. €7,46 ain't that high though. I assume you also had to pay handling fees to PostNL?

I order very few CDs from the US but those I have bought, have arrived without Customs charges. In actuality, suppliers should always add VAT to the cost of the order but the boutique soundtrack labels seem to ignore that requirement, so the buyer is at risk of having the item stopped by Customs and charged VAT plus a a handling charge. French Customs must be particularly active compared to the UK where only a spot check is carried out, so most items arrive without charge. I buy far more Blu-rays than CDs from the US from large suppliers such as Amazon, who always charge the VAT on top of the retail price for oversea orders. Yup, that's me as well. It's mostly Blu-rays from America these days (Warner Archive Collection), I haven't used Amazon US for years (expensive p&p), it's mostly been Wow & recently Rarewaves & I'm looking at a few others. As for soundtrack CDs, if I order one, it means that I really like & want it, so don't mind the cost (esp. as it's only one one or two a year now).

La-la puts a... realistic price on the tab for what's actually in the box ¯\_ _/¯ Interesting, thanks! Might be worth to order at LLL again if they have a sale.
