Thanks for the blurb!

We have sub-licensed rights to this wonderful score to Quartet Records, so there will be a CD release too!

Don't know what it is. With the odd exception, I never really cared for Yared before. But in recent years, I've loved almost everything he's done -- very much my cup of tea now with melodic elegance, small ensembles, sophisticated orchestrations. Like the wonderful piano and woodwind flourishes in this. I think it may have something to do with his refusal to adher to various contemporary tropes, and just do his thing. Refreshingly and uncompromisingly retro.

Now that you like Yared, have you tried revisiting some of his earlier scores that left you cold before?

I guess what I'm curious about is: did Yared himself change (I haven't noticed a significant shift in his style), or is this just a matter of your own taste changing?

No, I haven't yet properly re-explored Yared's previous work. It's on my to-do list. For sure, there were some I liked even back then, but I'm curious to see what I now think about both those and the other ones I found 'boring' at the time.
