Having visited Thermopylae earlier this year I came home and watched 300 Spartans again. Here is another classic score that cries out for a complete release. I also made the mistake of watching 300, and regretted it. I have no time for this film at all.
Reminds me to play my favorite Manos Hadjidakis score... "Blue", the Terence Stamp/Karl Malden western (1968). A beautiful score (for a very poorly-reviewed film) originally released on LP by the DOT label and a hot seller in soundtrack circles back in the good old days of Dean Street Records. The only CD I've seen of it is a Greek import with rather cramped sound in louder passages. A remastered version would be VERY welcome.
