I'm reminded of the old Pukas strip in FSM. Anyone else remember those?

I do indeed remember Pukas, especially the one where he was making backups of his backups of film scores.

The one were Pukas and the one based on Andy Dursin (who was Bert to Pukas' Ernie) were going through a bunch of albums trying to determine where James Horner had borrowed a piece from... And there was one "Candy" (I think that was his name) tricked Pukas into thinking Jerry Goldsmith had written to him.

Is there an archive for the old Pukas strips, or do you have to be a subscriber to access them?

I first saw some Pukas strips in Mark G. So's mid-1990s "The Horner Letter." Later it ran in FSM print magazines in the 2000s. I especially like the saga of Pukas and Candy seeing the new Jerry Goldsmith-scored Johnny Appleseed II: Deadly Harvest in the movie theater. It almost makes me wish there really was a Goldsmith-scored Appleseed franchise! (You can read it yourself: Go to the Print Backissues listed above under the "FSM Online" bar, go to Vol. 8 No. 7 -August 2003. It starts from there.)

MV, are you expecting ‘Field of Dreams’ to be back in stock by the end of year?

I remember some elderly woman in a comic strip, getting some joyous information.

In the last panel, she busted out singing, "Born free!....."
