For those of you who don't follow Limited Run Games, they're releasing a CD set of soundtracks to 1990s video game adaptations of Jurassic Park (and its sequel The Chaos Continues). Unfortunately, it's exclusive to a pricy $150 collector's set:

https://limitedrungames.com/collections/jurassic-park-classic-games-collection/products/jurassic-park-classic-games-collection-prehistoric-edition-switch

I've asked them many times to sell the CDs separately, since it's a major pain for me to order a $150 set just for a CD I want and then hope to recoup the cost by selling the set sans CD, but ah well

I’m on their mailing list after buying the first Ninja Turtles album, and it piqued my interest until I saw that it was only available as a pack-in for an expensive set. Alas!

I will say, I have a saved search on eBay for Limited Run soundtracks, and I've been able to get a surprisingly large number of them thanks to folks breaking up their sets--I was able to get the new Trevor Gureckis score to Dead Space for $20 instead of $150--so that is a possibility.

Not a single Sega game? Lame.

As someone who's obsessed about all things JURASSIC PARK, at least in literature, TV and film, these things must have passed me by. Were they for PC or only consoles? I didn't play consoles in the 90s, only PC games. I DID play the 2011 JURASSIC PARK game from Telltale, which was enjoyable (although any game that makes you die, leaves me a nervous wreck), but I don't believe Jared Emerson-Johnson's score is part of this package.

I also know my film score nemesis Michael Giacchino scored a LOST WORLD game around this period. Is that part of the package?

I can speak to this a little bit. The games that Limited Run is re-releasing in this set are strictly for Nintendo home consoles, not PCs. As was the case for a lot of films adapted into games during this period, the games released on the various platforms were totally different despite sharing the same title and often the same cover art--so even though there was a PC Jurassic Park game, it's not included in this collection.

As for Giacchino, he did write scores for Jurassic Park games, but a few years later after the release of The Lost World--so the CDs in this set are not his work. It's a little confusing, but despite being a "sequel," The Chaos Continues isn't an adaptation of The Lost World--it came out years before. Emerson-Johnson's work is a decade after that. As far as I can tell, the music for these games is by Jonathan Dunn and Dean Evans, veterans of Ocean Software and the Commodore 64/Amiga chiptune days.

Still, if you're a serious Jurassic Park collector, this set does seem like it might be up your alley.

Not a single Sega game? Lame.
I bet they'll release them separately--they've done something similar before.

LRG has just announced that they're adding Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition from the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive to the collection (and, presumably, the soundtrack). Just in case anyone was on the (electric) fence about this.

Thanks for bringing this up, orion! I would love the soundtrack but that collector’s edition is just too expensive for what’s included. I just ordered the standard edition^^

I saw this. What's really unfortunate is that the art design for the case is really good! And the music from these games are really awesome. Seriously, check out the SNES music if you haven't already. It doesn't use any of John Williams' music, but it definitely fits right in.

Limited Run has decided to release the music by itself! On vinyl. Womp womp.

https://limitedrungames.com/collections/all-soundtracks/products/jurassic-park-vol-1-2lp-vinyl-soundtrack

Still, if any of you are vinyl collectors or enthusiasts, and enjoyed the original video game scores, this should be an easy pickup, and $40 is a darn sight better than $150.

It’s labelled as Volume 1 which might mean another album is planned.

Now I'm a fan of the film. But I'm not ready to give that kind of money. Although I started reading about ach, I found https://casinosanalyzer.com/online-casinos/ach for this. The main thing is to think soberly and not give in to temptation. Damn, I would love to buy this CD. There would only be extra money.

Probably yes. But I'm not sure.
