I recently came across this film, and I must say that its soundtrack is surprisingly good for industrial music. I couldn't find any threads or posts about Chu Ishikawa or his music. Has anyone here listened to this gem of a soundtrack? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

This is one of my favorite late 80s international films and took a long time for me to finally catch up to watching it after having known its existence for years upon years due to old books I would collect about cult films through the decades. Anyway, when I finally watched it when Shudder started streaming it, I was truly blown away and it surpassed my expectations. The very next day bought the Shinya Tsukamoto Blu Ray set which Arrow compiled, and subsequently devoured that.

I love the soundtrack. It really quite elevates the imagery on screen to an aural existentialism, if you will. I was already a fan of Industrial music from my youth so hearing something "new" in the genre (at least that I had not heard before) was another great moment that the film provided. Unfortunately the only way to hear this soundtrack on a service like Spotify is via the cover/tribute album Tetsuo: The Iron Man Revisited by the female-led Industrial group In-House Pharmacy. But their version is quite good and thankfully Ishikawa's full version is on YouTube, as you have posted above.
