This past weekend I finally watched Dial of Destiny and was shocked as to how much of the music was reused from previous Indy films. Now, don't get me wrong. I know John Williams is in his 90's but unfortunately it feels like he phoned in his work which I know he did not.
That being said, I was looking forward to buying the new soundtrack up until I saw the film but I think I will pass. I have the other 4 scores and it appears that is all I need.
As for the film, I give it a 6 out of 10. The film is too long by about 45 minutes and there is just too much padding. Also, chase scenes such as the horse and subway chase should have had the Raiders theme up full. It felt like it was trying too hard to be subtle.

Just my two cents worth.
Same statement here, I am not so anxious to have DOD in my collection, I am just waiting to get "Raiders of lost ark - complete soundtrack"
That's too rich for my blood, both the price and the joke. Maybe if someone chimes in with a final comparison, that might sway me, by which time it will be gone.
