As we head into 2024 here's a sneak peak at some composers in our lineup: James Horner, Danny Elfman, John Williams, Marco Beltrami, Christopher Young, James Horner, Christopher Young, Charles Fox, James Horner, Ilan Eshkeri, John Barry, James Newton Howard and a whole lot more...

If I had to guess on the Horners,

One will be an expanded Mighty Joe Young. With Intrada’s connections to Disney and the surge of late 90s Horner expansions, this would make perfect sense. And I say it just about every time for Intrada, too.

One will be an expanded Bicentennial Man. Also in the late 90s expansion timeframe, also Disney.

One will be his rejected score to Young Guns, given it’ll be played in a featurette on the new Blu-Ray. Also Fox, which is now Disney.

Intrada has been focusing on his early pre-Khan work but it seems like, save for The Hand, we’ve got those largely covered.

Looks like nothing older than 1980 is on this horizon ...
Silver Age is as dead as Golden Age?

Hoping one of the Horner mentions is THE PERFECT STORM smile

Mighty Joe Young would be great! Though I would guess one is Fievel Goes West. Maybe A Perfect Storm too.
Really wish Intrada would finish the Tinker Bell scores.

Charles Fox; great news. Foul Play gets plenty of play here. The ultra expensive 9 to 5 is probably due for a re-release for those that missed it the first time around in '08. Personally I'd love to see Little Darlings, Oh God Book II or Zapped. A dialogue-less legit Strange Brew would also be welcome.

Elfman has to be the delayed NIGHTBREED. Williams and Barry also crossing over from 2023.

As for the Horner's Im hoping for DEEP IMPACT, ENEMY AT THE GATES and THE PERFECT STORM.

But no mention of anything Goldsmith?

Wasn't Young posted and not served this past year?

Who are the unreleased leftovers from last year to this one?

I remember that Joel McNeely was one.

And I found the list:

Jay Chattaway - Silver Bullet
Alan Silvestri - Shattered
John Beal - The Funhouse
James Newton Howard - Peter Pan
Bernard Herrmann - The Man Who Knew Too Much/On Dangerous Ground
Marco Beltrami - The Faculty
Danny Elfman - Nightbreed (rumored for '24)
Jerry Goldsmith - MacArthur
Joel McNeely - ...
James Horner - Windtalkers, Deadly Blessing, Humanoids from the Deep, Battle Beyond the Stars
John Barry - ...
Richard Band - Puppet Master: Axis of Evil trilogy
Hans Zimmer - The Rock

Oh yes! I'm ready for anything from Charles Fox!

Varese reissued Foul Play a few years ago so I don't think it will be that again.

I've noticed over the last several years we occasionally see score releases from pre-90's era films released either shortly prior to or shortly after (within a year to year and a half) we get a boutique label licensed Blu-ray/UHD release.

Little Darlings has been rumored to have finally been cleared (song rights were preventing it before) and people are expecting it to be announced at some point here.

I don't know how extensive the Fox score is for it, but unless it is too short, I could kind of see that happening.

I'd be very happy to see 9 to 5 get a re-release as I wasn't buying many scores until that was already out of print and going for collector prices.

Ah, you noticed it as well....?
Great, I feel less alone now.
It's gonna be nearly the same story as in 2023.

I wish Carter Burwell was in somebody's lineup.

We could really use a release of "Mystery, Alaska"!!!

I hate to pour cold water on all the people clamoring for The Perfect Storm but that’s a Warner Bros. property.

I'am aware. But don't drop the towel on Warner Bros just yet. Things are cold but not for long I hope.

Would be great to have The Laughing Policeman and/or Two-Minute Warning, but I even have fond memories of the Short Circuit 2 end title.

What`s with that HORNER Hype? Too much post 80ies nowadays...Well...the line up is not one that gets my attention. This year I only purchased THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH ( For me ALBUM OF THE YEAR !) from INTRADA.Mac ARthur might be happening ..not sure yet.
QUARTET seems to be the lable ,that serves my needs the most... for a couple of years now.

But at least
JOHN BARRY_JOHN WILLIAMS or CHARLES FOX are in the race and maybe one or two buys will happen.( Williams is tricky cause I´d be only interested in THE RARE BREED or THE WITCHES OF EAST WICK ( my LP is too old).
John Barry...not sure whats missing ?
