My theory is the score was fullfill with Williams' quotes and they give to Fleming to make it less nostalgic.

Judging only from the credits on the cues from the album (which of course wouldn't include any Murphy cues that went unused, if there were any), the exact opposite seems to be the case.

David Corenswet, who plays the Man of Steel, admitted the whole experience is “a little surreal” and “feels special”. This isn’t just another superhero flick; it’s a dedicated effort to craft something truly impactful. David shared his deep commitment to the project, stating, “We really did everything we could to make the best Superman film that we could”. The spirit of making the movie was “so dedicated and so filled with love and joy and care”, suggesting a passion project poised to connect with audiences on a profound level.

Will Reeve, the son of the late Christopher Reeve, in his capacity as a journalist for “Good Morning America”, sits down for a long chat with the new Man of Steel David Corenswet to talk about the new “Superman” movie.

nut_score your connections to Samson, Peter, Job, David and Moses are brilliant!

Superman's creators were two Jewish men from immigrant families. I don't think it should come as a surprise to many of the naysayers that the character has a lot of his roots in some of the great and timeless fables told in the Hebrew Bible alongside the ideals found in the early 20th Century notion of the American dream. Superman's origins and the best of his later adventures always embraced these things.

I was disappointed and feel like this movie had been overhyped. Is it better than Man of Steel? Yes, because it is lighter in tone and more fun. But it's a jumbled mess. Gunn packs the movie with so much stuff onscreen at one time. And the fight scene went on forever while Metropolis was quickly crumbling, it was driving me nuts. Superman gets beat up for the majority of the movie, and Lex Luthor comes across as a whiny little baby. The message it tries to send at the end was my favorite part and I wish it would have had more moments like that. The casting was on point. I just wish they would have had a better story to work with.

The story is very simple for starters, but it has a lot of interesting developments in the whys and hows department for me. I didn't find it to be overstuffed but surprisingly focused and sure-footed. It is paced like a lightning bolt at certain points and maybe for some viewers they may want to slow it down a bit to catch up. I would absolutely agree that the climactic action sequence becomes repetitive but I'm thankful we weren't forced into the lazy sky portal finales I usually expect from these. The new trailer for Fantastic Four convinces me that one goes there. I recently re-watched Man of Steel and I must admit I'm glad we were saved from the nauseating repetitive action found in that finale. There is basically zero plot in that film as is, outside of Zod's terraforming ambitions, so by the time we barely scrape into the third hour of that thing Superman is just starting to throw the Kryptonians around the local IHOPs before they smash through every building in Metropolis. At least here, I felt the individual characters team ups had their sense of urgency in their respective plots to solve the villain's grand scheme and right the wrongs.

Admittedly, Superman is low-hanging fruit, because it seems that it’s just a propaganda vehicle to convey the Politically Correct message of the day.

Weird - because what you call politically correct was (and still is) the American way Superman always fought for.

Maybe culture hasn‘t changed, only those who claim it has?

What I’ve been reading is a lot of people who went to see this reluctantly, grumbling all the way, and came out liking it, and one guy determined not to see it because a lot of important media people who also haven’t seen it and somehow haven’t absorbed what Superman does (I.e., saves people) have alerted him that it’s woke, so I guess he wins. But I love seeing people get this worked up over another comic book movie. smile Stay tuned next week for the Pedro Pascal/Sue Storm outrage.
