Just got the refund. What's going on???

It should have come with an accompanying email explaining that everyone would need to reorder through his publisher.

Hello everyone,

Yes, a few hours ago I sent an email to the many buyers (from all over the world!) to explain that I was going to give a full refund to all the buyers of the June pre-orders.

Then I started issuing refunds one by one.

Lokutus, you were historically the 5th buyer of the book, because you ordered 3 minutes after the sale started, so you were one of the first to be refunded.

Here are excerpts from my email to the buyers.

“After extensive consultations with our new publisher, it has become clear that, for both administrative and legal reasons, your preorder made last June will immediately be refunded in full. This decision allows my new publisher, whose legal status differs from mine, to relaunch sales and issue invoices in full compliance with his corporate structure and all legal requirements.”

“The project is progressing wonderfully. After an extensive editorial review, I and my team are delighted to confirm that the book will be available at the very beginning of 2025. Thanks to your support, this journey has reached the crucial final steps of printing and publication, an incredible milestone.”

Ah, so the pre-orders being refunded now still made a difference in helping this project progress forward to the point it’s at now? That’s cool. Kudos to all of you who plunked down that cash when it was needed!

Sorry Lokutus. You didn't receive it. I've just sent you a copy.

That’s cool. Kudos to all of you who plunked down that cash when it was needed!

Yes, I'll never forget the June launch. It's great to see the enthusiasm for the project come to fruition.

I'm just so happy. When sales resume in early 2025, the books will already be printed and on the publisher's premises. So the books will be shipped at the same time as the order. The wait is almost over!

That price was ridiculous.

Why do you think I was selling at that price?

Really looking forward to reading this first volume. 2025 is already shaping up to be an exciting (albeit expensive) year. Just imagine if someone at Varese finally decided to progress that final Grail - a deluxe Brainstorm.

Ah, this will be so good, given the immens knowledge of the author and his dedication towards James Horner. Looking very much forward to it.

Hmm. Per earlier reply, I'm sort've intrigued by the idea that the initial "investment" ends up being refunded and therefore becomes, in essence, a repaid loan. Interest-free, yes, but nobody really loses a cent. And everybody wins, ultimately.
