Wow, based on the 1953 film, and the 1977 one called SORCERER scored by Tangerine Dream. Had been cool if Serra would channel his inner TD.

I'm not quite sure, to be honest. Given the genre, I'm fearing rather anonymous thriller and action tropes. My real hope, though, is that Serra is handed a bigger and better canvas, perhaps a nature documentary or something, so he can tap into some of those more laidback, beautiful textures a la ATLANTIS. But hey, the original 1953 film by Clouzout is great, as is the score by Auric. And, yes, the SORCERER remake and score. So the source material should potentially inspire.

I saw this last night on Netflix and it's a lacklustre affair. The direction, acting and score are incredibly bland. I've never been a fan of Serra and this one is not gonna convert me.
