My Siliotto story:

In 2016, I was blown away by his gorgeous score to MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN, one of my favourite scores that year. At that time, I thought he was a new, young talent. I was aware of THE PUNISHER that he had done 10 years prior, but still a young guy, I thought. Then, of course, I discovered that he was, in fact, a veteran who had been active since the 80s. He's now 74 years old. Since then, I've been trying to explore his work a bit more, and really been impressed by a lot of stuff. Things like PALLA DI NEVE, TEQUILA - HISTORIA DE UNA PASION, CORSA DELL'INNOCENTE, FLUKE, DAVIDE, NOMAD and others.

What are your Siliotto recommendations?

Try these first. My favourites from the shelf.

Tried all of those, except LUNA. But a good bunch you've got there!

I really like Fluke. I would recommend The Punisher. (The one with Thomas Jane.)

I remember liking the 'Francesco' score very much but have not heard it in ages. Must dig the CD out and play it again!

I have 2 more of his titles, the 'Tu Qué harías Por Amor/ Maestrale' doubleheader on Saimel and Cinéfonia's 'O Patrone D'o Cane' but frankly I don't even recall how they sound!

Okay, I listened to the Saimel CD again in 20 (?) years yesterday. Now I'm giving a spin to Francesco and there are some really good cues in this one.

Totally agree on Fluke and The Punisher. I really need to check out his other scores.
My only criticism is his scores are rather samey.
