What will your film music wedding ceremony feature?

Me, I'd want these ladies to sing this song ------------> LIVE!

The only film music at my wedding was the song my wife and I danced to...

My wife's specific instructions were no "Star Trek" or "Star Wars" music. She walked down the aisle to the "Wedding March" from the "Flash Gordon" soundtrack album.

When my wife and I were “introduced” as a couple for the first time,I had organised the Star Wars theme. Brassy, bold…”regal “….everyone cracked up which was the idea. My wife chose KISS THE GIRL as our dance. We were both happy with our film choices…and we just celebrated 20 years together so we r doing ok! 2 terrific kids..and we still both maintain our own interests which are not belittled by the other!

I had a couple film tracks during the dinner reception. You Only Live Twice and Somewhere in Time if memory serves. Could have been more. It was almost 20 years ago.

We used the following film music in our wedding:

Processional: "A Rare Day for Boys" from Horner's "Something Wicked"
Bridal Entrance: "Welcome to Jurassic Park" from Williams's "Jurassic Park"
Recessional: "Main Title" from Goldsmith's "Star Trek TMP"

I had a mini playlist prepared in case the processional ran long that included a few songs that did not wind up getting played, but the only one I can remember is "Those Who Succeeded" by Hitoshi Sakimoto from "Valkyria Chronicles."

And yes, we are both huge nerds big grin

A friend of mine used Louis Armstrong version of "we have all the time in the world" throughout their wedding bash.
They divorced after 2 months!! big grin

Never getting married, so the thought experiment doesn't apply to me, but I've occasionally thought about what they should play at my funeral. But that's too downbeat for this topic. Also covered here: https://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=76729&forumID=1&archive=0

So that's why you're stuck in the basement all the time?

I had a few different pieces at my wedding:

1. A suite from Poledouris' Conan the Barbarian - Atlantean Sword / Theology / Civilisation / The Search
2. Philip Glass' Mishima - Runaway Horses
3. Giacchino's Married Life from Up

I also stuck Ralph Vaughan Williams' March Past of the Kitchen Utensils in there as the most niche film music joke ever.
