Intrada is the way to go, never had a single bad package from them

I've been an Intrada customer since they had a walk in store on Vallejo Street in San Francisco many years ago.

After promising my order would ship after March 8, Varese has now notified me that City Hall is no longer available.

This is an order that I placed in June 2023, with the Mouse Hunt bundle.

I am disgusted and will no longer order directly from Varese moving forward.

They said they would be issuing a refund, but I don't know how they will process it with the bundle (probably discount down to Mouse Hunt's price).

No refund yet, though.

Not sure why they couldn't honor an order placed long before it sold out...and waiting this long to let me know is just ridiculous.

As for me, they said they will ship the Hellboy out and sent me a pre-postaged mailer to send the other disc back. So we'll see...

Only took them four days to let me know.

My order from Varèse Sarabande of Hellboy II and How to Train Your Dragon 3 showed up today... strangely, everything was as ordered and nothing was broken. Something's up, I can tell.

I've placed two separate orders with Varese recently - Serenity DE and Hellboy 2 DE from the US store, and How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2 DEs from the international store. Both orders arrived fine and with no problem, as has every order I've placed with them.

I am beyond furious.

Same here. Ordered The Bourne Identity last summer during their sale. Arrived within two weeks here in the Netherlands.

Ordered Death Becomes Her when the new international shop opened recently. Arrived in perfect condition, no custom fees.

Not saying Varese hasn't screwed up a few times in the past, like with the whole City Hall, but some people really seem to desperately look for problems.

The only problem I've ever had with Varese (except customs charges, which have dried up in the last few years) is when they sent RAGGEDY MAN out instead of another title I ordered (ROBOCOP 2, I think?), but they let me keep it and sent out the correct order so it's a net win for me.

So customers who simply want the items they ordered are desperately looking for problems?
That's like someone randomly punching you in the face and them saying "Stop complaining, your face got in the way of my fist".

Lol, that's not what I said at all!!

But Varese always seem to attract the usual haters, people who most likely haven't ordered a release through their site in ages. Yet whenever a post like this comes up, they like to remind you just how shit Varese is, even though they haven't dealt with them directly for years.

I never had an issue with Varese before this one. And have ordered from them a number of times not TOO often granted, about an order a year. I don't see how mentioning they literally send me the wrong order makes me a 'hater'.

Ordered a CD in stock (which is still in stock) from the international store over four weeks ago as part of a larger order. Everything arrived but this CD. Contacted their international help desk SandbagUK, no reply after a week. Still took the money for a CD not delivered and have not issued a refund. Extremely poor customer care.

Have you tried being a "soundtrack influencer" at all? Go on Twitter and talk about some random bullshit they put out over the past few years and they'll load you up with so much free stuff. I'm sure this free stuff is largely comprised of unsent orders.

I lost all faith in Varese when they omitted the dulcimer from their "Thorn Birds" release.
It plays the melody!!!
