Director is Joachim Rønning. H's had no composer he's worked with more than once so far on films. The last two composers he worked with are Amelia Warner and James Newton Howard.
He hasn't worked with James Newton Howard. It was Geoff Zanelli scoring that Maleficent sequel.
Correct me if I'm wrong...Hans Zimmer was thanked in the "Tron: Legacy" CD booklet. I have no idea why, but it's likely he and/or whomever he delegates may score it.
I'm clearly missing something here, but since he's been suggested a few times -- can someone explain to me how Don Davis is appriopriate for this? What has he done before that suggests TRON to you? I mean, without the involvement of an electronic specialist like Juno Reactor?

The answer is simple Thor: most people only have about 2 to 3 composers who they would rather hear scores from, every single time. Don Davis, Elliot Goldenthal, John Scott... take your pick. It's like they are the talent representation for these composers whenever I see the chimes here.
That said, Juno Reactor hasn't put out an album since 2018 so it would be so cool to see some reality where they got a gig like Tron: Ares.
