Wondering if anyone has thoughts about this cd? Big fan of Piccioni but it’s a mystery buy. Beat does not seem to have samples and everything online links to 2001:Space Odyssey. Is there some good music here?
This edition on Beat Records is an expansion upon what was initially on a 2009 Japanese Verita Note compilation of Piccioni's music for television programs.
Whilst not trying to discourage a Picci purchase, personally I'm not a fan of this tv score. (The whole 18 track score is on youtube if you want to check out beyond the 2 tracks Purple kindly posted, which are probably the best 2). There are about 5 unlistenable tension tracks - in my opinion - including a rather drab solo organ track. The remainder is ok, not great. My fave track is 17 pastoral variante.
