This came yesterday and I'm almost through the first play. I like it. It is darkly delicious. Bold, ballsy, melodic. The source/ period style cues are fine and lighten up the dark.

What. Nothing more! Anyone would think it was a Lee Holdridge thread. Anyway it's playing as I write. Love it.

I haven't got this edition, nor am I likely to.
I'm happy with the original edition, which was plenty enough for me.
Now, did somebody mention Lee Holdridge?

This set is fantastic. I'm sure some would complain about the ragtimey stuff interrupting the 'drama' or whatever but I'm find with all.

Purchased this recently. It is a very enjoyable score, fun, varied, energetic. However, the temp track bleed is off the charts.

What are you hearing, specifically? In listening to the original album, I of course noticed typical idioms for this kind of thing, but not specific models.

I can hear Grand Central from Carlito's Way in there.

Minority Report, but it's not like it ruins the score.

Hmm... I've never noticed that, and I'm listening to the original release now, and haven't heard anything that made me think of Minority Report. Any specific tracks? (I'm listening to the original release, haven't sprung for the new one, yet.)

Off the top of my head, "Arsene and Beaumagnan".

Some Misha Segal’ “Phantom of the Opera” in the titular theme, but strong symphonic Score
