I thought the previous edition was complete.

The previous Intrada edition was not complete, nor chronological. It was abridged and arranged by James Horner, since he never got to make a score album at the time of the film's release.

Thanks - my purchases are few and far between over the last two decades, cost of living etc., turned down so much I would normally have bought. I have the previous edition, so it depends how much more there is - if only a few mins, then it's out of scope. But if lots more, I shall go 'hmmmm'. big grin

I wonder if these recent reissues means the scores that haven’t been expanded yet are missing?

This version isn't a re-issue. Read the above post:

It might contain the previous version (and thus be a 2CD set). Don't know yet.

Or , maybe, in this case it was an easy one to do. It could have been ready to go but Jimbo nixed it.

I think we can now expect a shiny new version of NATTY GANN too, with the missing music from the previous edition making an appearance.

I remember there were some cues on the HONEY, ISTK boot that didn't make it on to the legit Intrada release.

I'll wait and see what this version contains...before probably buying it wink

This James Horner flood is unreal. Must be great for all those who missed out on the older Sold Out editions.

I missed out on the original and bought it second hand before the prices went through the roof. Never really took a shine to the score outside of a few moments but I might ought to give it another chance. Ended up selling it and making almost double what I paid for it.

I will buy this though because my digital copy came from a time before I was converting my files to FLAC and I wouldn't mind the opportunity to have this in lossless (the recording quality is very nice on this score).

Just played this Sunday lol.

Good score, a lot of ideas bouncing around, some that shouldn't fit, but it all works somehow, cos....Horner.

There were about 15mins. missing from the Intrada release IIRC, calling LeBlanc. Hopefully a bit of remaster too - it's 'one of those' you have to crank up then turn down in the middle of the album....

Dude...weird. For the last month or so, I have been watching eBay, Discogs, etc. for a new copy with a less-than-gargantuan price. Prior to that, I hadn't even thought about obtaining the score for over 20 years. Now I can get a new expansion!

Another Disney title.

I have the original, one of those Horner scores that owes a lot to its influences (or its temp track). Powerhouse and Pee-wee’s Big Adventure really jump out. Still a fun time. I might pick up an expansion if it’s significantly more.

It was closer to 9 and a half minutes of music left off of the 2009 album, and with that some of the "Goonies" score references. One of those, the three-note intro to the Goonies theme was edited out of the finale 'Thanksgiving Dinner', although the rest of that quote played intact.

I love this score, despite all its cribbed material. Happy to be getting a little more!

And the Goonies theme is itself a crib. Cribbing within cribbing like a sort of Russian nesting doll - which I believe Jimbo actually possessed.

Ooh I'm intrigued! What was Fratelli chase modeled after?
