Stoney Burke TV Series Soundtrack

Like all fans of Dominic Frontiere’s early 1960s TV music library (which I believe he was commissioned by TV producer Quinn Martin to create to score his planned series), I am forever grateful to La La Land for releasing this superb boxed set.
https://www.discogs.com/release/3519252-Dominic-Frontiere-The-Outer-Limits-Original-Television-Soundtrack

But there remains lots of suites and parts of suites which are currently found nowhere else but here.
https://shoutfactory.com/products/stoney-burke-the-complete-television-series

For lossy Dolby Digital, the music/dialog mixed soundtrack, while compressed, is certainly not terrible. In fact,
the music part of the mix, to my ears, is considerably more dynamic and/or less noisy than those MGM and Fox Outer Limits DVDs-perhaps even better sounding than the Kino BD release.

But I regret that I’ve for years to interest any soundtrack label towards releasing these wonderful Frontiere nuggets in new CD boxed set, or at least via 16 bit download, or better.
https://www.hdtracks.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAwvKtBhDrARIsAJj-kTiYAMyEs-Liy7BATNy-yNB5QBaXWAR1WykeJ7Jcz9-D5r4F-zdndF4aAlXMEALw_wcB#/album/609d371c6e312b499e6498bb

I had informed La La Land, Intrada and others that Sony or Universal may own the EMI Unart catalog of production music, and thus may have Frontiere’s digitized masters.
https://www.latimes.com/business/la-xpm-2011-nov-12-la-fi-ct-emi-sold-20111112-68-story.html

It’s wonderful to know that Frontiere’s manuscripts were preserved. https://archiveswest.orbiscascade.org/ark:80444/xv181077

But I hope Sony or Universal had professionally digitized the analog tape masters of the music originally pulled to score Stoney Burke, before they were not or destroyed.

X-men 97 - due May 24 - hoping for a CD

Transformers 1986 - New LP coming, and digital - hoping for a CD surprise.

June 5 is Ghostbusters day - still holding out hope that the Real Ghostbusters score happens.

X-men '92 would be a dream come true as well.

I'd really like to see a complete SUPERGIRL by Goldsmith in better sound. My preference would be for a version that does not include the synth "sparkles" that Jerry added after the fact (similar to the Varese release at the time). Perhaps it would be possible to include both versions of tracks that have added synths.

And then there are the Bond scores that have not yet been expanded.

As I have every year, I'm still waiting for Michael Kamen's Three Musketeers. Roger said it's a possibility a few years back. Still hopeful.

Herrmann scores that I'd like to see recorded anew:

- Psycho
- Journey to the Center of the Earth
- Companions in Nightmare, if the tapes are unavailable.

Companions in Nightmare
Helen of Troy (1956)
King Richard and the Crusaders
Obsession (rerecording by William Stromberg) with a suite of Herrmann's The Lonely (from The Twilight Zone)

Agreed for Obsession and any other Herrmann scores, as many as possible in fact. They've graduated from classic film scores to Classics, full stop.

Didn’t we already get a re-recording of Obsession (or is this a different Obsession from the one I’m thinking of)? On that note, I would definitely be up for those other three, especially Helen of Troy (Companions in Nightmares does sound interesting as it’s a Herrmann I haven’t heard yet). I would simply add Friedhofer’s Joan of Arc to those suggestions.

An extensive HAWAII FIVE-0 box set.
Stevens, Broughton, Ray, Cacavas, Steiner, etc.

And, of couse, a "wish list" would include some original scores with lost tapes to date:

THE SALAMANDER Goldsmith
RAISE THE TITANIC Barry

I haven't taken part in one of these threads for years, so just for a change:

One Of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing (Ron Goodwin).

The Mysterious Cities Of Gold (Shuki Levy). At the last report, master tapes decayed.

Dungeons And Dragons (Johnny Douglas).

Brainstorm (James Horner). Still waiting on Varese!

Thundercats (Bernard Hoffer).

Duck Tales (Ron Jones). Intrada tried but it hasn't worked so far.

The Keep (Tangerine Dream). One of the best scores of the 1980s and tragic that the original music still hasn't seen the light of day.

The Bounty (Vangelis).

Warlords Of Atlantis (Mike Vickers).

Short Circuit 2 (Charles Fox).

She-Ra (Shuki Levy). Yet more from the master of 80s cartoon music! His CV remains distressingly short of CD releases.

And the mystery as to why Columbo hasn't been released, continues! No one in the industry has ever commented on the status of this one.

With a massive emphasis on this one.

And even more for Columbo. So much fine music composed for the series.

I'll echo you on those same two. For Columbo I'd ideally love an 8-10 CD box set covering everything from the first decade of Columbo. For the late 80s restart that lasted through 2003, I'd support a 4CD set of highlights.

My #1 Holy Grail is Roy Webb's Sinbad the Sailor though, either the original tracks (the 5 minutes on the Cloud Nine compilation were NOT enough!) or a complete new recording...

A fine Disney wishlist. Add Darby O’Gill and the Little People and the Clifton Parker scores, and would pretty much be my wishlist from the Disney Vault (though I don’t recall any animation in Summer Magic).
