anybody got this Stefano Torossi score? Opening track has got the most bonkers chicken-noises theme I've ever heard. Its quite infectious but funny.
Its from a comedy in 1969 (translated title roughly "Italians! It is strictly forbidden to use the toilet during stops!!"
Its possible its Nora Orlandi and her choir but I suspect its is highly likely to be Alessandroni's Cantori Moderni maybe - if anyone has this CD is there any credit on the cover or liner notes? It is exactly the sort of wacky stuff they were famous for.
Count the seconds after you start playing because it is absolutely guranteed to have your Missus call out "What the f**k are you listening to?!!!" lol
Thanks Bill for sharing this. A funny track it certainly is ! I must admit I know nothing about this composer. I can see on SoundtrackCollector that a handful of CDs have been released and on Discogs that his music was available mostly of library music albums. I'll check out more tracks on YT.
Yeah I have a few of Torossi's library albums and few of his soundtracks. Decent composer. Worth checking out his 5th dimension fan website. He certainly worked with Alessandroni on on other projects.
Seems to me that GDM released this during 2020 only to online platforms (Amazon Music, YouTube, etc.). That there are only 12 tracks indicates to me that this item might yet be another example of an intended vinyl LP program that had never gotten issued on disc and sat in a vault 50+ years.
Stefano Torossi is a favourite, but with only four scores on CD/Downloads. Italiani! is my least favourite of those. L'età del malessere is by far my favourite.
1969 Italiani! È severamente proibito servirsi della toilette durante le fermate 1968 L'età del malessere 1968 È stato bello amarti 1968 Omicidio per vocazione
I have heard several of his libraries, but not of his unreleased scores, which are all rare B-movies.
I've got 3 of those 4 and about 8 or 9 of his library style albums. Couple good tracks on each one. When he's average its a bit meh, but when good, he's very good.
