I thought I'd highlight the section at The Art of Darkness site which covers the music for the Rod Serling show. I know some of you are aware of the site, but I got a lot out of revisiting it.

Apart from confirming what I already knew (for example the greatness of the Billy Goldenberg and Oliver Nelson contributions), it also reminded me of things that I shouldn't have forgotten, such as... how really excellent the Paul Glass scores are; how Gil Mellé's "Dr. Stringfellow's Rejuvenation" would be reworked a few years later for "Frankenstein the True Story"; and how Lalo Schifrin's score for the busted TV pilot "Dark Intrudor" was rerecorded and cut and pasted into four episodes.

Yet another example of absolutely top quality music being written for the small screen in the late'60s/ early '70s.

There's some really interesting music in this show.

Of course, my gateway in was Spielberg & Goldenberg. So great to see a cue from "Eyes" on there. I've always pined for a CD of the Goldenberg/Spielberg collaboration that covers both this and other things (even when you take away DUEL, which has already been released, there's still a considerable amount of material).

Thanks for the link, Graham! I'll spend some time there later.

Thanks for posting.
Goldenberg, Mellé, Nelson and Prince are favorites here as well.

I have been loosely thinking of what show or shows to cover for October, and the comments here have made me decide this will definitively be one of them.

Thanks for posting this .

The Night Gallery has some excellent scores , its a shame there has never been any official release .

I urge anyone who is a fan of the series to purchase Kino Lorbers excellent blu ral special editions of all 3 series ( its a shame the scores are not isolated )

One day maybe !!!
