SOUS NOS YEUX: During World War II, Normand people filmed their daily lives against a backdrop of mobilization, war, occupation and liberation. These images are a moving testimony of the life of a country during these events. It was important to me that the music of “SOUS NOS YEUX” remained respectful of these sometimes intimate stories. I had to find an emotion that was accurate and never caricatured, bringing out all the context and the upheavals hidden behind these often falsely innocuous images. The music is intimate and minimalist, mainly using sounds of strings, piano and percussions.
