THURSDAY, JUNE 13 THE INSTIGATORS---trailer released for the heist movie starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5oqpxi3U7M FIGHT NIGHT: THE MILLION DOLLAR HEIST---trailer released for the Peacock heist miniseries starring Kevin Hart. LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw_nbGQXKqI THE PRINCE---Scott Haze, Nicolas Cage, JK Simmons, Giancarlo Esposito and Andy Garcia will star in the David Mamet movie about “an addict’s tumultuous odyssey through the high-stakes world of power, pleasure, and pain on a transformative journey toward recovery”. Sources claim the movie is loosely based on Hunter Biden's drug problems, but other sources deny this. GAME OF THRONES---George RR Martin posted the previously-scrapped prequel series, 10,000 SHIPS, is underway with the pilot being written by Eboni Booth, “We’re all very excited about this one… though we’re still trying to figure out how we’re going to pay for ten thousand ships, three hundred dragons, and those giant turtles.” JURASSIC WORLD 4---VARIETY said the latest dinosaur movie is “a completely fresh take launching a new Jurassic era, following three adults and three teens getting stuck on the Island.” The movie starring Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey has also been referred to as JURASSIC CITY. BLADE---director Yann Demange left the reboot movie after replacing the departed Bassam Tariq. POSSESSION---Robert Pattinson will star in the remake of the 1981 horror movie about a spy, his estranged wife and an alien creature. Sam Neill and Isabelle Adjani starred in the original movie. THE RAINMAKER---USA Network tv series underway based on the John Grisham novel. The 1997 Francis Ford Coppola movie starred Matt Damon and Claire Danes. TRUST---Kate Winslet will star in the HBO miniseries based on the Hernan Diaz novel. QUEENS OF THE DEAD---George Romero's daughter, Tina, commented on her upcoming zombie movie, “It takes place over one night, at the beginning of the dead rising. We find ourselves at a big warehouse party in Bushwick. We’ve got a party promoter for whom everything’s going wrong, and her lead act has dropped out. So she needs to call upon a friend — a retired drag queen — to resurrect his drag, to come and save the night. And it turns out to be a night of many resurrections. And our motley crew of characters find themselves holed up in a Bushwick nightclub, having to decide ‘Do we get out of here or do we board the place up?’ And they’ve got to survive the night. It’s about a group of non-fighters finding the survival skills deep within.” TRIVIA---in JAWS, shark hunter Quint's first scene had him in a theater creating a disturbance by laughing at MOBY DICK starring Gregory Peck. However, Peck was very unhappy with his performance in MOBY DICK and would not let Steven Spielberg use the scene, so it was removed from the script.

The Prince- and I thought it was going to be about Machiavelli. Instead some potential yawn.

A fresh plot would be one or more of the children being eaten and maybe the bad guys winning.

JURASSIC WORLD 4---VARIETY said the latest dinosaur movie is “a completely fresh take launching a new Jurassic era, following three adults and three teens getting stuck on the Island.” Are they joking? How is that a fresh take? Trapped on an island of dinosaurs... 'completely fresh take'... right. Beat me to it! ALWP reading this. Very original, return these films to the Prehistoric Era already! I think we need more heist movies too. It's good to give our broke, broken society ideas on how to get more bread! Sheesh, these are the new Exorcist pictures I guess... A remake of 81's Possession is interesting though, with Pattinson. Very strange film that one, but likeable in a....uhm, strange way. No comment on Romero Deux trying to destroy dad's legacy with what sounds like a lame as hell "update" to the genre. A warehouse full of trendy influencers, hipsters and drag queens arguing, with intermittent zombie attacks. Thrilling. At least GAR scuttled his own series with the also lame Survival Of The Dead....now I don't have to worry about keeping up with these! Hooray! Thus Endeth The Rant....

I got it -- they could do a Barbirassic Park. They already hate men as it is, might as well make Barbie a bunch of man-eating femisaurses.

A fresh plot would be one or more of the children being eaten and maybe the bad guys winning. Or a t rex escapes, makes its way to Hollywood. It becomes a studio boss and eats all the pricks that are there now. It has a sweet tooth, particularly for brain dead scripwriters.

Oh, picture it -- it's Harvey Weinstein on the toilet with the walls collapsing, and the T-Rex eating him. But it probably spits him right back out. The dinosaurs already died once, it could happen again with Harvey involved...

JAWS also had a bunch of filmed and deleted scenes (and extended scenes cut down in the final film). Here's one where he decides to just be a fucking dick to a kid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfX1MkMazwc The guy walking with him is his ship mate, who also is in another deleted scene where he says he's not going with him to hunt down the shark and that he quits. He might have been cut from the film entirely (unless he's in the background somewhere, like when Quint says he'll catch the shark; I'm not going to go look). That scene shows that guy has no presence, isn't interesting, can barely act, and the whole scene is clunky and thankfully cut. The final cut of the film is pretty much perfect (I could leave or take some little deleted scene here and there)!
