In seriousness, I'm curious how they're going to twist the premise to fit "current sensibilities".


Don't worry. They will manage to twist it into shitness.

I rather liked the Peterson version Enemy Mine, and the effects were actually pretty good, it was very Trek like, talky head piece.
Not as a bad as its reputation.

No doubt the Starfleet Academy show that Harve Bennett had planned 30 years ago would have been better. Have knew the pulse of our Trek world very well. He was also no afraid to let characters sit on screen and chat with interesting ideas. Adventure is a part of Trek world, but in a lot of ways not the most important part of it. You can perhaps have exploration, without so much action as well. Slow adventure was more of a 70's thing I guess, it has to be boom boom nowadays
