Today is an important day for fans of film scores everywhere. After 12 years of diligence, we are beyond excited to release the first single from THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE Original Motion Picture Score by Tobe Hooper and Wayne Bell.
Widely considered the holy grail of film scores, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Original Motion Picture Score by Tobe Hooper and Wayne Bell will soon be receiving an official release from Waxwork Records. Remastered from the original raw analog recordings by Wayne Bell at Soundcrafter Studio in Austin, TX, the score will finally make its way to vinyl, digital, CD, and cassette in celebration of the iconic film’s 50th Anniversary.
The single ‘Main Title’ marks the very first time listeners will hear an official track from the upcoming score release that has been 50 years in the making. A massive debt of gratitude is owed to Wayne Bell, William Hooper, and the folks at The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Chain Saw isn’t just one of the greatest Horror films ever made. It’s one of the greatest works of cinema ever created. The film and its experimental score has inspired and terrified generations of audiences. To bring an official score album to you has been a mission of our label since day one. This is the one you’ve been waiting for. We are both honored, and even in a bit of disbelief, to say that an official TCSM score album is imminent.

Great news! Curious why this took so long to get out. I mean many labels had to have inquired about this for many years. Maybe the tapes were just found? Very curious on the back story on how this got out to us finally.
