SEASON 1:
One-season lived series that began with a pilot in 1969. The bland theme music is by Lalo Schifrin. It gets better when it's revamped a few episodes in and is more jazz oriented (presentation perhaps is the real problem with the theme). At this time, half of the episodes are not to be found. This series was a user request around a year ago. "Pilot" (0) By: Lalo Schifrin (music supervisor: Leith Stevens) https://ok.ru/video/6708116916739 Highlights: 2:27 in.^ 14:21 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^ 22:07 in. Source music.^ 28:35 in. Funky source music.^ 31:06 in. And the "In the Heat of the Night" sounding source cue after the commercial break.^ 36:12 in.^ 39:09 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^ 40:26 in. 49:18 in.^ 55:35 in.^ 57:15 in. 1:07:09 in. Closing cue which continues as the end credits music. And for those who like weird oddities, stick around for when it ends and hear and see a bizarre Paramount logo and logo music cue.^ Lord, no wonder this series didn't get a second season. This pilot was embarrassing.

Can you explain "half the episodes are not to be found"? The entire series is on DVD. I have a very special fondness for The Young Lawyers. In December of 1970, I got my first TV guest shot on this show - it began my professional career. I believe it was what would be the second to last episode, entitled "I've Got a Problem." John Newland was a the director, Gary Lockwood was in the episode, too. It was not a comic role and when it aired I thought I was dreadful. When the DVD set came out, I bought it, but was petrified to watch that episode. I finally did and you know what? I was pretty good

He means "not to be found streaming for free online", which is his primary(/only?) avenue for accessing all these old TV shows. Yavar

Yes, the point is so people can sample the music via this thread (no forced sign ups, no paid accounts, etc.). But don't let that stop anybody from purchasing legally available DVD's.

I was pretty good That's cool! I was only ever an amateur actor, but every time I saw a video of my performances, some of my choices made me laugh out loud. With incredulity, not pleasure. Even in radio I despised listening to myself in airchecks, though I truly love the sound of my own voice. It's just mighty stressful. Ok, back to the topic.
