Good thread Josh, I often wonder sometimes about folks too.

Like just learning PFK passed away.
Cleveland I've seen online since the olden days....he disappears for a few years then resurfaces.

Guess some quietly leave or leave more publicly (Kenthasax or however it was spelled, Dirk W.) or more controversially (Last Child) without explanation.

Off to play Lai's "I'll Never Forget What's'isname" !

I’ve often wondered what became of WagnerAlmighty. I often enjoyed her enthusiastic responses to scores old and new (I would have liked to have heard her compositions as well). I remember four years ago, she was just starting to venture into the well of (Max) Steiner, and then just disappeared from the forum. I’m sure she’d be thrilled with some of the releases that have come out during her absence.

Oh right, WA, I remember! I believe that one blew up under duress.

What about the Kim controversy too, remember that? "We" chased her away as a PHONY, despite her posting a photo with her name on it.

And yes, I'm going to keep trawling this thread, because its fascinating, apologies to any who hate me.....block away.

You mean the "Kim" who feigned Asian and claimed to have inherited "her" father's soundtrack collection and typed in broken Engrish for months until suddenly they didn't, and when I called her/him/it out their sudden English fluency claimed they were utilizing some newfangled language software to correct their grammar? That Kim?

In the words of the late, overrated Jim Morrison, "People are strange..."

LOL... really? Interesting, what would be anybody's motivation to do that? I don't really remember "Kim"... just barely rings a bell.

Was that the up and coming composer who never showed any of her work? I don't know a single artist who doesn't promote their stuff.

I think that EVERYONE has something to offer here - even the fake people, who are sometimes more interesting than the real-life geeks.

A lot of people just drift away. Some drift away and come back, like Phelpsie. Others self-destruct, like OnyaBirri (I miss him).

I really do wonder what happened to dan the man. He came across as someone who had seen so many science fiction films that he actually forgot what planet he lived on.

Basil Wrathbone had a bit of a meltdown on the MACARTHUR thread and went away, deleting all (?) his posts. Not sure what happened there. No idea what happened to Last Child. In some cases there might be a really serious or tragic background to those meltdowns. We very rarely know.

Whenever someone leaves, our little niche is a little smaller and a little less colourful.

I think DMM was banned. I don't know what happened to LC. If there was a blowup I didn't see it. He would often blindside someone with a random personal attack seemingly unprovoked.

Didn't LC say he was leaving? Swear I saw that, and poked fun of it in another thread.

Oh yeah, Steve is still around on Facebook. Wish he'd drop in here once in a while.
