well, this'll probably do better than other movie where Scarlett Johansson played a robot... But let's be real.. "Start Me Up"?!? Please can we get a Brian Tyler-produced Scarlett Johansson cover of this version.
This or "The Touch" are the only acceptable songs for a Transformers movie.

Honestly, this might be the score I'm most excited to hear debut in the back half of the year.

the movie will be fine, but, there are way too many fanboy movie 'reviews' which are just ludicrously over the top in the praise of genre films, it is almost disgusting. The days of film critics is long over, pretty much, I am aware. Anyone with an internet connection is become the modern, lack of critical thought, knock off Roger Ebert these days. It is pretty pathetic. And even when the movie is really good, this kind of nonsense does not help. This thing from Matt N, I mean, have some perspective man. Has he seen any movies older than two years ago? Thank you, Matt, according to Google, "Internet Personality". Geez.

Or maybe you could just let this guy state how much enjoyed this movie and leave it at that? Maybe when a person really likes a movie and shares that joy it doesn't signal the end of human civilization? Geez.

That this guy enjoyed the movie, sure fine, I mean, whatever. The point is I can find someone on the internet that thinks any movie ever made, even the terrible ones, is certainly a fantastic movie. So when I see these posted, it is like flyers for ambulance chaser lawyers and siding being dropped in the thousands, it is all just noise. It is not about this guy loving the movie, I mean, great, but he is just some dude, like, well millions of other dudes. The immensity of free, anonymous internet opinions about movies, renders it all meaningless. I would certainly give more credence to people that I at least know somewhat here, the FSM brethren, like Solium for example

I'd much rather see/read the opinions of fans who share about what they love, as opposed to seeing the opinions of loudmouth, crybaby fanboys who live in a state of perpetual outrage and erroneously call anything "woke" that doesn't center a cis white hetero male perspective for its narrative.

Well, I agree with that

I love when FSM members are aligned!

Anyway, I am looking forward to hearing Tyler's score for this new TF movie and am wondering if it will sound more like his own music or Jablonsky's scores for the Bay movies...

omg, yes, 100% agree...I'm completely over people who think that cynically hating everything is a hallmark of media critique. All they do is poison everything with their need to act superior.

agreed
I imagine it will be pretty good, it is the kind of material that inspires some composes quite well
Action animation is a good springboard for gusto themes

I also 100% agree. What bothers me are members denigrating a movie they've never watched and yelling that it will fail before it is even viewed.

Also, I like the term "gusto themes."

I now want to create a new compilation of big heroic score highlights called GUSTO THEMES!

Ah, now we are having fun, thanks Joan and Tom. I mean, like when Jerry wrote a theme, or any of our other heroes, it was like, no holding back, no shyness or cowardice. It was full bore, Gusto themes, powerful, emotional stuff, be it an action picture, drama or kid movie, there was no hesitation. I love that. It is why I have a closet full of scores.

Who cares?

70% of Zimmer's scores have been written by other names for the last 20 years, and no one is yelling about it.

This is how the industry is.
