I'm no doubt in a minority here, but while I'm sure in the general sense it's nice to have the composer continuity here, I feel Alan's talents are wasted on over-blown CGI-fests like this. Hand this off to somebody like Bafle or Brian Tyler.

I love how this has the X-Men cartoon theme in there.

I also love that this isn't FIVE HOURS LONG.

well, the two movies will each be AT LEAST 2.5 hours each, so...

Yeah, Silvestri is a great composer, but I really think he pretty much can put it low hear and cruise control through this stuff, it has so much smashing and sound effects, and really, all the Russo Bros want is intermittent recitations of what he did before, I am sure he will try to go a little further than that, but the whole score is competing with just so much stuff, for so much of the run time.

If this is true, it’s the best news I’ve heard all week!

Things will actually be happening though.

The Marvel films truly are B-Movies - but also blockbusters. They have made out like bandits with these B level characters - and have built a mind boggling following for a lot of them. I still don't get the love for Iron Man.

I enjoy the films, but it's all been leading up to Fantastic Four - that film should be a breath of fresh air, and these upcoming films are to give all these other characters a send off - and hire a bunch of cheap actors to try and keep another series of films going - we'll see if it pays off.

If at some point the Silver Surfer gets their own film, I'll be happy. Really curious who will score that if it ever materializes.

I am surprised that Chris Pratt as Peter Quill-Starlord is not on the list.

Leading to posts about how this film got "Balfed" and bitching about Brian Tyler and "they should have gone with Silvestri."
