yeah, this and the Tron picture are two of the dumbest things Disney gave the greenlight. Of course it could make a billion, but I doubt it. Probably sunk 300 million+ in both of these, quite a gamble for something no one really asked for.
So DISNEY pulled the rip cord by changing all the Dwarfs into cgi characters and by turning Snowwhite white again. After the desasterous promo still which would have been a super super desaster.Well who knows..those life action adaptations are all so far very successful for Disney..yes even Aladdin which also almost made a billion....
IIRC Disney has published teaser trailers before that look unfinished compared to the final product.
Edit: Yes, She-Hulk.
The visuals look like creepy A.I. animations. I can't prove that and maybe that's not the case but that's what I got out of those scenes. But all I can really think about is how much I want to watch the classic film again.
On a side note the hair style for Snow White looks ridiculous. I know they're trying to mimic the look of the cartoon character but it looks terrible.
That's were we are now...a shame...AI kills even the real animation skills and aestetic.I'm pretty sure its not AI ,yet it looks like it...I agree..and that's the problem with the damn AI.It even degrades the real deal cause it feeds from it and mimics it without the talent.

Exactly!
But I wouldn't be surprised if we don't actually get A.I. created previews because its a quicker and cheaper way of creating adverts. Think about it, why pay real artists when execs can just type in a few words into their computer and get a ready made trailer? Now more than ever this reinforces in their minds their value to the company. Hell, years ago I had supervisors who knew nothing about graphic design brag they can create graphics in Photoshop by pushing a few buttons insinuating I'm replaceable now.
There is always some awkwardness with combined live action actors and settings and animated characters. I think the best I have it done was with Enchanted and Roger Rabbit, and the much underappreciated Dinosaur movie.

Two out of three are 2D with computer assisted cell shading. The last combined CGI with real background plates.
The reason parts of this trailer looks A.I. isn’t just because of the visual style but the (weirdly) fluid motion.
It’s also possible they CGI the key frames and then used A.I. to do the in-betweens.
You seem to be ( just like me ) from the buisness...cause that will be common..to have the inbetweens generated with AI. ....And there you go...it'll look like shit.
I do wonder whether there is even an audience for this film? Not because of any casting decisions, how it looks, or anything else related to this film, but because I don't see it as something that kids today particularly care about. Granted, the film is a classic, but it is also 80+ years old, and most kids want far more recent material to watch, with a mix of things their parents enjoyed watching when they were younger. I don't see the original animated film checking either of those boxes. People are far more likely to recognize Snow White as one of the princesses from Disneyland than from the actual movie itself, so I wonder who Disney expects will actually fill the seats? I doubt there are many kids excited about the film, and I expect most adult fans of the movie will have even less enthusiasm, and are more likely to watch the original on Disney+ than go see the live action film in the theater.

I used to be a graphic artist. I've been a life long animation fan.
I don't like to second-guess, especially as we've only seen about ninety seconds of this, but the whole thing – in-betweens aside – seems like just misguided creative choices to me. It's live action (or at least includes live action), but the entire world so slavishly emulates the nearly ninety-year-old animated world that it feels almost fetishistic. There's no life in any of the frames, nothing but artifice on top of artifice. Putting real life humans alongside hyper-real animals and then throwing in cartoonish dwarves (dwarfs?) just compounds the problem – what are our touchstones? The dwarfs don't seem cute in this context, they seem like terrifying mutants. (It reminds me of the live-action Grinch movie, where prosthetic makeup made the Whos down in Whoville, who were stylized and cute in the book, into deformed freaks.)
I'll also say this: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a landmark achievement, easy to admire for its bold risks, its amazing craftsmanship, and songs that remain classics. But if I may be Grumpy, as a story, it's pretty Dopey. Snow White herself has no personality besides guilelessness, but that's more than Prince Charming gets (he just gets handsomeness – is he just in two scenes?). This movie changed entertainment forever, and for that it has rightfully earned its place in our collective history. But as a story worthy of revisiting, I don't get it.
And yes, I know that this has been reconceived, by two very successful (and admired) screenwriters, and maybe they've found a resonant story to mine here. But if that's the case, why the slavish recreation of everything from Snow White's dress and hair to the wood carvings on the stairs to the adorable animals to the (incredibly creepy) designs of the seven dwarfs?
