Really looking forward to getting this based on folks feedback and glad it's limited to 2000 copies. I plan to wait and sees what MBR puts out for the rest of the year before grabbing it. Shipping two CDs to Canada seems to be the right way to do it and most cost effective without getting dinged by DHL Customs clearance charges.

I've bought just a handful of CDs this year (for the first time in decades!). And I was going to pass on this. But you all convinced me otherwise. Even had to pick up Arsene Lupin as well from MBR - it does sound like that score may play better in complete form.

So thanks for going on about it.

Agreed. These scores are wonderful as are the releases with Music Box on their usual A-Game. The only weak point are the liner notes for their US releases. Surely, they could find a higher class of writer. Otherwise, they're great.

I listen to the original 1999 release all the time. It's one of my favorite CD scores with the mix of jazz, but Wow I did not realize how much music was actually missing. This Music Box Records release is outstanding, and a perfect complement to the 1999 release.

Agreed, and Plein Soleil - Purple Noon - composed by Nino Rota makes for the perfect companion piece. I wonder if Music Box or Quartet have considered re-issuing that score.

The original 1999 album had a series of suites, covering the major themes from the score.

They're all included on disc 2, which suggests they're unique recordings, and that none of the actual film score had ever been released before.
