I'm concerned that the eventual director may not be working with the composer who's scored their previous films. Does anyone know what may have caused this (speculative) rift?

Their son got in early( thanks dad, now fk off). And played their demos on a stylaphone.
The director was in love with them.

Some interesting intel coming in here.
Makes me think some of you guys are on the 'inside'?
I prefer to get my info from reliable sources (some YouTubers making shit up for clicks and likes).
Yes, I heard that it may be a horror movie under the working title DIABOLICAL.
And yes, one of the producers' sons submitted a demo for scoring duties via his keyboard, but as he's only 3 years old, I heard they're having trouble getting him registered as part of the production team.
Exciting times though.

According to the film review column of House Prices Monthly, they’re filming the sequel, ????, at the same time.

Makes sense, Chris.
It's expected to be one of the biggest hits of (whatever year it's finally released).
I'm hearing the working title (Diabolical) is a punning title as, apparently, it features a protagonist named Al, who's testicle becomes possessed by an evil spirit.
Stay tuned.

If it's released in time it could be the best Halloween ball in town.

It's rumoured that this is finally kickstarting the long awaited Viz Cinematic Universe (VCU).

Some screenwriters have entered a conference room, mulling over this project.
I'll link a YouTube vid when it becomes available.
Exciting times.

It's right here:

And about time too. I can’t wait to see who gets to speak the immortal line “Come on, postie - empty your sack into my box”

I didn't know that...but hope it's true.
I've read that the VIZ producers have always wanted to work with composer Thomas Wanker, so that may well come to fruition (seed?).

It would be amazing if they can pull that off

Rest assured, this is NOT the new Christopher Nolan/Matt Damon film in the offing.

Apparently the writer and director of this - as yet untitled - project met for a coffee yesterday.
It's unconfirmed if it was Starbucks, Costa, or one of those independent jobbies.
They mentioned that the release date MAY be moved on to 2027 now, so I've edited the title accordingly.
As soon as I hear anything about a composer (or cast and crew for that matter) I'll be sure to let yooz know.

Uh oh.
There's trouble at mill.
Apparently, the proposed released date* for this film has clashed with the one for BEETLEJUICE 3.

* the 12th of Never

I thought it was delayed coz it clashed with the release of the Goldsmith books.

Funny you should say that.
This film MAY do a Kick Starter campaign to help its funding and Creature Features are onboard as organisers for said camPAIN.

Rumours abound that Lorne Balfe recently left the latest Mission Impossible film to get in line to work on this forthcoming opus.
But the producers aren't big fans of his, allegedly.
Oops.
