A very Happy Birthday to Stu Phillips. As a young kid, I thrilled to your symphonic music for television, that easily stood equally with film scores by your contemporaries. As an adult, I still thrill to your signature sound. I’d encourage any board members to seek out Stu’s autobiography “Stu Who?” I’ve always enjoyed interacting with Stu here, and I hope he sees our birthday greeting. Let’s all raise a glass to Mr. Stu Phillips, a film and television music legend.
Many happy birthday wishes as well. You brought me many years of joy and inspiration, particularly with your work on Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers. Thank you for all you’ve done.
Apologize for being a bit late to the observance but just wanted to say how much of an impact your music has made on this particular film music aficionado and perpetual student of music over the decades. So many great scores for Buck Rogers, Battlestar Galactica, McCloud, Quincy. The Monkees, the Twilight Zone theme arrangement for the Boston Pops...the list is just so long.
