Hi Yavar, thanks for this generous offer. I am exploring western scores at the moment (mostly enjoying some Elmer Bernstein, Ennio Morricone, reacquinting myself with Jerry Goldsmiths western sound) and am on a bit of early 70s jazz-soundtrack flow, having recently acquired The Seven-Ups / The Verdict by Don Ellis and Johnny Mandel. (which is a great album!) So this seems right up my alley at the moment. Besides that, all the praise about this album alone is enough to peak my interest. Sign me up, please!
Oliver Nelson’s music is completely unfamiliar to me and browsing through his filmography I could only recognize two titles. However the samples sound intriguing, especially Skullduggery which has that Les Baxter style exotica sound I like. Thanks for the chance to discover new film music. Count me in!
Sorry Graham, I fell asleep before midnight. And in all the LLL/Varese excitement yesterday I forgot to bump this thread to prompt any last minute entries!
So… drumroll please. Random number generator says…
#9 — Brad Wills! Congratulations to the winner — Brad, please email me your current address.
Thanks again to Yavar and the "anonymous donor" who drew my name. This was a fantastic gift in a time when I've sorely been in need of a little good luck and grace, and it means more than you could possibly know. Both SKULLDUGGERY and GUNFIGHTER are terrific, and I highly recommend them to anyone who might be on the fence. For those who might be interested, here's some custom artwork for SKULLDUGGERY. Two takes; one with the sky, the other without. They will also be posted in Custom Cover Art thread.
