Wow, Eastwood continues working with Mancina. Perhaps Clint didn't believe he was Henry Mancini after all... Hoping for a score release.

I was also not a big fan of CRY MACHO, but then again Eastwood's films rarely lend themselves to the type of broad sounds that Mancina is most known for. Given the subject of the film, I'm expecting more in the line of CRY MACHO for this. I still find it fascinating that 94-year-old Eastwood would use Mancina, of all people, at the tailend of his career. He was involved with Invictus which was scored by Eastwood's other son, Kyle and Michael Stevens back in 2009 and Mancina was involved with the vocals and source music which is credited on the album and I guess Clint was impressed by Mancina's arrangements at that time and remembered him for Cry Macho and now Juror No.2 which is great to see that Eastwood's final film will have a score by him 30 years after Speed made Mancina a go to composer for years to come during the 90s. A shame his career wasn't as consistant after that.

Didn't know about the Invictus-link. Agreed that Cry Macho was rather unlistenable.

Thanks for the info, Veronica. Do we know for certain that this is Clint's last film? It was announced months ago. He's 94. Which is amazing. He could do it until he was a 100 but I think this is the best way to go out. Cry Macho wasn't a memorable score. Very sparse like Eastwood likes his scores since Lennie Niehaus retired as his personal composer after Blood Work in 2002 and just mainly Orchestrated and Conducted Clint's scores after that as Eastwood decided just to write the scores himself for his films with a few exceptions like Invictus, The Mule, Flags of Out Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima among others that were done by his son Kyle and Arturo Sandoval along with Mark Mancina.

Eastwood is a vampire. Love him. The last living male legend. Among the women, we only have Sophia Loren and Brigitte Bardot left, and both are 90 years old this month.
