Not a Newman aficionado, but I really liked his theme from Boston Public.
Haven't heard it in probably fifteen years, but I remember it seemed like a mini suite, moving from mood to mood, including a breathy flute ala Roland Kirk.
I LOVE Thomas Newman - I celebrate the man's entire catalogue. Much of his best music has been well discussed, but an early track I really love by him is "Love Music" from Jumpin' Jack Flash.
Massive Newman fan so could post of a whole list of scores I’d love to see discussed more, but I’ll narrow it down to two…
Bridge of Spies. Two tracks in particular, Standing Man and Homecoming. Just love them on their own but also work so well in the context of the film
The other is a recent Newman which I felt was maybe passed over, A Man Called Otto. Some really beautiful work in there, especial tracks like Hypertrophic and Niagara. Soppy romantic here but the track The Wrong Train played a big part in my wedding. That score is well worth a visit.

Oh I remember that show! And the intro! Remember really liking that main title! Never knew it was him back then! But now that you mention it I can totally hear it! lol!
I've got to add 'Welcome Home Roxy Carmichael' to this list. If anyone hasn't listened to it yet, you simply must. It's peak early Newman, with plenty of funky 80's quirk, but with lots of beautiful dramatic moments as well. His signature swelling strings really start to take shape here, albeit down in the mix.
