Dear Folks, it's that time of the year when we all start to get excited on the possibilities from the usual LLL, Intrada, Quartet, Music Box apologies if I have missed any labels.
I am still hoping for a Maurice Jarre title to see out 2024!
Yep, who can resist it. I'm holding off on getting my Goldenthal disc as it needs at least one basket companion. Not too much to ask. Got a possible Williams in the mix. Not sure what else is likely.
There was a list from Intrada, issued either early this year or at the end of last year with Barry and Williams listed, so maybe they will feature before the year is out.
LLL has hinted they are waiting on approvals and still figuring out their lineup - could be a variety of things. Based on past releases we could see Spiderman 2/3, Godfather Part II, and probably some more cool stuff through the Universal line. But I'm pretty much always wrong. Lorne Balfe also hinted at an expanded Top Gun Maverick someday - but not sure if that's in the cards either. Maybe we'll get some more Hans in the form of Gladiator or something else.
As for Music Box - I'm hoping for more Alexei Aigui (even though 2 releases this year have been amazing). But he's hinted that he and the label aren't done yet. So fingers crossed.
Hoping for a Jarre from MBR, or Quartet - or any of the labels really. Jesus of Nazareth being found and redone would blow my mind, but there are a lot of options.
Not expecting anything animated unless somehow LLL wrangled something with Hasbro to do a proper animated Transformers release.

LLL also did Mask of Zorro last year, so is there a chance Legend appear ? Also a chance another Bond may show up I suppose Plus LLL always like to thrown in a nice surprise title.
But I guess it all comes down to what can be approved on time and it seems, at least some, studios that process is taking longer and longer.

Yes! You will!
No matter the title, reissue, whatever....heartfelt Thank You, Roger & Team Intrada. Enjoying your lovely definitive disc (until we find that pesky MT!) of The Collector, as I excitedly type.

A premiere release of Jarre’s RESURRECTION would be nice.
Agreed Cody! One of Jarre’s very best scores ever (I’d say easily top 10, and maybe top 5 for me), and so far commercially unreleased. Fingers crossed.

We agree ! In the past ,I heard that his widow got control of the rights from Universal. Still hoping for this Jarre gem anyway. Great score to an excellent almost forgotten film more than 40 years ago.

Young Doctors in Love? it was confirmed YEARS ago that MGM has it, yet nobody interested in pairing it with anything...

Ah, Spidey 3... one can hope, but given prior comments about Sony and this franchise, I'm not confident. Put it on the list of scores that would be a wonderful surprise. The first one isn't for me but I'd probably pick up #2 as well.
Mike said on the Legacy podcast some months back that at least one Williams was readying, so I'd say there's a good chance one will feature. My personal hope would be The Terminal (20th anniv).
I'd like to hope that perhaps the Gladiator sequel's marketing machine, together with the 25th anniversary next year could make an expansion more likely. Who knows.
