The Malone treatment without doubt it's gonna sound even more breathtaking.
I have the GDM edition and would be curious what the "Malone treatment" means. I mean I know a bit about restoration and mastering myself so would be a good to have a few information on what has changed exactly, as otherwise this is all a bit vague.
Had the Screen Trax, then upgraded to the GDM CD Club and will gladly buy this Quartet release because this is top drawer Maestro output and I want to support the label in not letting up with the Morricone goodies.
This came this morning. I've just finished a once through. I won't waffle about the music, as most are familiar. But the sound is much improved, clear and I didn't notice any hiss. And I didnt notice any difference between the stereo and mono.
No probs. I think I enjoyed it more with the better sound. It's a very stoic ( if that's the right word) score which was hard to enjoy in rubbish sound. The snippet from the booklet made me laugh.
