I'm "super-excited" (yeah man) at the package delivered yesterday from the Deutsche Demokratische Republik! Well, I wasn't expecting to pay 27 euros on customs charges, but I'll get that back by not paying for my round tomorrow night. DESPERATE VOYAGE (Bruce Broughton) - Really looking forward to hearing some prime, early TV Broughton in dramatic mode. Hurdy G wrote a thrilling write-up on the appropriate thread. I'll add to that in due course. Oh, by the way, my CD came with an extra copy of the sleeve, signed by some "Bruce Broughton" guy! Yeeha! DEATH HUNT (Jerrold Immel) - I'm expecting some solidly good stuff here. THE INTRUDER WITHIN/ STARCROSSED (Gil Mellë!!!!!!) - Oh man, Gil Mellé! I have heard the welly version of this (INTRUDER) score. It's good, in parts great. STARCROSSED should be intriguing. I've seen the film and the music is what I "shouldn't" like about it... but it's Gil Freaking Mellé man, so you won't hear any dissing from me. SYMPTOMS (John Scott) - Saw the film, loved it, was intrigued by the music, ordered it, it came. Rabbits to follow (and you thought you'd had enough).
